Curl Curl – Black Satin on Fully Frameless Glass

Had a call from Jayde at ProVision Carpentry and Building to quote on a fully frameless glass pool fence and balustrading for a spectacular new pool they had built for a client in Curl Curl.
Met up with Dave Sadler on-site and discussed a few different options for the pool fencing and also a ‘cliff-top’ balustrade.
They had already built the pool and the huge retaining wall for the fence to sit on, so it was really just a matter of deciding on what style and sizing the frameless glass panels.
As the new house has a lot of black fittings and door/window frames it was decided to go with powder coated satin black spigots and gate hinges and latches.
With the ruling of the wall already done, we decided to match the sizes of the fully frameless glass panels with the tiles around the pool. This way the gaps in the glass coincided with every second tile spacing.
Bottom line, approximately 1700mm long glass panels. Which made for a heavy carry up the three flights of stairs.
Did I mention the view from the pool?
In consultation with Dave and the owner we had a custom piece of glass made to allow for the beautiful exposed sandstone between the deck and the boundary fence.
As with most of our jobs we used Polaris soft close hinges and latch hardware and a D&D Technologies latch. Obviously all in black!
